Publishers and owners

The Lakindex website, available at lakindex.com (and lakindex.hu), is created, owned and managed by Vilmos Németh and Márton Bónis, who are responsible for its publication.

For any question, correction request or to exercise your rights, the publishers can be reached through the website's contact form.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (cloudflare.com).

Independence

Lakindex is an independent service. It belongs to no real-estate agency, listings portal or bank. Published prices, estimates and rankings do not depend on any partner; any content provided by a partner is labelled as such.

Published data and estimates

Prices come from public sources (Hungarian Central Statistical Office KSH, central bank MNB, listing statistics) and from transactions sent by partner agencies, as described in the methodology. Estimates are statistical indications: they are not a property appraisal, an offer, or financial or legal advice. Despite the care taken, the publishers do not guarantee the accuracy of the figures and cannot be held liable for decisions made on their basis. Tax and mortgage rules summarised in the tools are for information only.

Intellectual property

The texts, charts, maps, the Lakindex name and logo belong to its publishers. Published figures may be reused with the source "Lakindex" and a link to the website. Base map and boundaries: © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence; KSH and MNB data under their producers' terms.

Personal data

Lakindex only collects personal data that you send yourself, for instance to follow the value of a property: your email address and the property's details. They are used only to send you its estimated value each month, based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email.

Data controllers: Vilmos Németh and Márton Bónis. The data are not passed on to anyone; they are stored with Cloudflare (hosting and database) and emails are sent by Brevo, both acting on the publishers' behalf. An unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 7 days; after unsubscribing, data are deleted within 30 days.

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, and lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority (NAIH, naih.hu). The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies; only display preferences (language, currency, theme) are kept in your browser.
